First Trip to Universal Studios

It was a scorching Sunday afternoon (a day after my party) when the family decided to visit Universal Studios. The tram ride was the best... as it gave me the perfect opportunity to take my afternoon nap in Mommy's arms. Ahhhh. Life. :)

Happy First Birthday, Baby Boy!!!

Dearest Joaquin,

What a great celebration we had for your first birthday! :) We had a cowboy theme and everything turned out perfectly.

You had a lot of special guests again. Lolo Pops, Momsy, Tito Apo, Tita Felice, Ate Yanna and Tita Aus all flew in from the Philippines just to be here to celebrate with us. Also, Tita Manang and Tita Lisa from Chicago and Florida came for the party and to meet you for the first time.

You haven't really started to walk around by this time (you were able to pull yourself up and cruise but still couldn't walk around independently) so you mostly passed around from one well-wisher to the next. We also lay out a mat on the grass where you were playing with Ate Sam and Ate Yanna. Popsy stayed with you a lot too blowing bubbles which you seemed to enjoy a lot.

When it came to blowing your birthday candle, Ate Sam had to help you because you just seemed very oblivious about everthing! :)

Overall, it was a wonderful celebration of your first year, shared with close family and friends. Looking forward to more firsts as we begin your second year!
